Hello folks,,  I'm Winkey the one-eyed weather crawfish. Click on me for a larger view.  No, I'm not boiled, I've been red since I was a little guy. I lost my eye in a skirmish with a hungry gull. Bruce saved me and I promised if he didn't eat me, I would keep my eye on hurricanes for him. I hope I can keep up my accuracy, but I am just reading data I collect from NWS sites and making my own predictions. I have been very good for years at reading these things, but I can be wrong and just get yelled at, while the Pros have to be very careful.

2006 Hurricane Season Prediction

FYI, this April is the exact opposite of the last April.

Food for thought for those who are trying to draw a parallel between last year and this. Last April, we had about 22 to 24 inches of rain in the first week, and it continued beyond that. This year it is dry as a bone. Okay, crunching these numbers in the calculator I keep in my jocky-shorts,, I would have to say we probably won't see any hurricanes around here this coming year based on the stats of this 12 month long cycle. LOL!

My 2005 Hurricane Season Prediction.

We will have 14 named storms this year. 3 will be biggies, and 4 will threaten/strike the U.S. Dauphin Island will have 1 big blow, but possibly a cat-2 or less, more probably a tropical storm force. I'm pretty sure the berm project will be halted before completion.
